The gateway to the Hudson Valley is rich in history and beauty. The forever-wild countryside surrounding Tuxedo Park and the Village of Sloatsburg, with beautiful lakes and trails in every direction, is five times the size of Manhattan and has an adjacent population of only a few thousand. It’s hard to believe it’s only 30 miles from the George Washington Bridge. There is a reason the Harrimans, Mortimers, Delanos, Lorillards, Morgans, and the Piersons chose to make it their country home near the city.
Within a short proximity to each other you will find house museums, sculpture gardens, botanical gardens, outdoor adventures, antiques and art galleries, two hundred plus luxury fashion brands at Woodbury Common and also inns should you decide to stay the night.
Here are my not-to-be missed places in the Lower Hudson Valley.
