A South Carolina native, Stephanie Summerson Hall is an attorney turned entrepreneur who founded Estelle Colored Glass and Ruth’s House Event Rentals and co-founded Wedding Flowers for Rent. “I was a corporate tax and business attorney in the DC are,” says Hall. “I became a mother, and my husband and I wanted our kids to have a slower pace of life so we moved back to South Carolina.” As for her passion for glass, Hall grew up with a grandmother, Estelle, who was always treasure hunting antiques stores and yard sales. She especially loved colored glass, and I discovered that colored glass was becoming something of a dying art. I thought, Let’s bring colored glass back. And, eureka!, Estelle Colored Glass was born”

Owned by the same family for over 100 years, Croghan’s is every Charlestonian’s favorite purveyor of fine jewelry. Eye-popping estate pieces are complemented by modern designs from Temple St. Clair and Elizabeth Locke. I love to find a unique sterling silver something and have it hand engraved for a special gift.
