Again, I cannot proclaim this to be the best pizza, but it's my favorite pizza spot. It's old school: carpeted floor, booths... it's just fun. Great family vibe. My go-to is the every-so-polarizing Hawaiian (ham & pineapple) which pizza lovers have strong opinions on, then spinach salad w bacon, mushrooms, and croutons. The salad comes with a tangy Italian dressing (like the Wishbone bottles we all grew up with) that I'm not a fan of, so I go with balsamic vinaigrette.
Sam's was established in 1947 by Sam Nasca and his family. For three generations it has catered to locals in East Hampton, but has also become a favorite for the summer crowds because of its comfortable atmosphere and exceptional service. Sam's has remained virtually unchanged from the original restaurant opened by Sam Nasca and its one of the longest running restaurants on eastern Long Island.
