Nadine Blake is a New Orleans native who worked for a decade at the Metropolitan Museum of Art and interior design firm Mark Hampton. In 2007, Nadine opened her namesake lifestyle boutique in the Crescent City’s French Quarter. Combining her interests and experiences in art and design, the jewel box of a store has long been a destination for astute aesthetes. And because Nadine and her husband, Simon, love to travel, many of the shop’s pieces hail from trips to faraway places. To quote Tammy Faye Bakker, “I always say shopping is cheaper than a psychiatrist.” Indeed. And, the good design doctor, Nadine Blake, R.T. (retail therapist) will see you now.

The New Orleans Museum of Art always invigorates me. Their African art collection is my current favorite, but I’m also a fan of the photography galleries and the sculpture garden. Whether visiting a special exhibition or the permanent collections, I always leave the museum inspired.
