A Charleston native, Molly Waring is co-founder and partner of Ballyhoo + Co., a content studio and creative marketing agency that has partnered with design and manufacturing companies such as Henrybuilt, Le Creuset, The Urban Electric Co., Smithey Ironware, and Summit Furniture. Molly is actively involved in the Charleston area community (where, as she says, “everyone still knows everyone or is at least third cousins once removed, in spite of the recent influx of newcomers”) and serves on the board of the Gibbes Museum of Art and the Historic Charleston Foundation. She resides in downtown Charleston with her husband and two sons.
This three-time James Beard winner never disappoints. Executive chef Jason Stanhope creatively showcases hyper-local ingredients and is a personal friend and overall wonderful person. Pro tip: It’s not easy to get a reservation, so plan ahead. They open reservations exactly one month in advance.

This is an amazing seafood restaurant. But I am most smitten by the fresh-baked Hawaiian rolls. I could make a meal out of them and be totally satisfied.

We are especially drawn to the stunning miniature portraits collection at the wonderful Gibbes Museum and love whiling away an afternoon at this cultural gem.
