Lunch absolutely has to be at the original Matisse in Condesa. And I will make you order the chilaquiles, no exceptions.
Notes from Matisse: It opened its doors in 1996, as a restaurant, when Colonia Condesa began to be the Soho of Mexico City. It was an abandoned house dating from 1932, when we rescued it we wanted to preserve its original architecture such as doors, enhancements on the walls, beautiful stained glass windows, wooden doors with glass leaves. It has a beautiful interior patio to have breakfast, lunch and dinner outdoors without the hassle of being on the street.
All this makes it different from the others, its food has been classified by customers, critics as a European homemade food, which, based on the care of its owners, has been considered as a unique place.
