"Mark Naylon has expanded his NYC operations and opened in the former High Falls Mercantile and offers mid-century furniture featuring original pieces, restored furnishings and M/n, Mark’s own line of period inspired creations with a timeless visage. And there is nothing kitschy about Mark’s mid-century offerings. His mid-century is chic and modern! His wife Molly, a fashion executive, also throws in some chic antique textile inspired tunics that are just perfect for a weekend in the country."
"This is a fantastic little shop in town center with a wonderful collection of children's clothing and gifts, apothecary items, an excellent edit of boho chic clothing for adults and other odds and ends that Jill TerMolen-Cornillon personally collects."
"There are few country antique shops left outside of Hudson, but a particularly fabulous one is Hillsdale Barn Antiques, with its wonderful selection of antique furniture and accessories from the region and folk art. I often wish my house were bigger so that I could keep shopping."
"Not to be missed is the recently constructed round barn at the Churchtown Dairy funded by Abby Rockefeller. There’s a small farm store that sells meats and yummy cheeses made onsite, as well as and raw milk. That’s it. There’s a medicinal garden and handsome critters. One is free to roam about and I would definitely recommend doing so."
"An adorable children's store in Red Hook with entire sections devoted to fairies, stickers, candy, cooperative toys and more. There is a tree house in the clothing section where little ones can play."
"Located in a beautifully restored black barn, the shop contains a mix of antiques and artisanal goods curated by Ron Sharkey, formerly of Downtown Accord and Katherine McMillan, formerly of Northern Grade, a market and retail concept store in Manhattan. The experience provides a mix of home, beauty, workwear, gourmet dry goods and country living supplies. They also play host to a field market each month with local antiques and makers on the lawn. It’s the closest thing we have to the Marches Aux Puces in Paris!"
