In South Kensington the perfect old school Italian restaurant. Wonderful with the doors open on a summers day.
Notes from Daphne’s: Half a century after its establishment Daphne’s reopened its doors in June 2014 to reveal a glamorous new look. The esteemed Martin Brudnizki Design Studio created a space that represents the vibrant colour palettes of Italy, ensuring that Daphne’s maintains the effortless charm and familiarity synonymous with that country’s rich culture. Highlights include the pink marble-topped bar, vintage Italian 1950s Murano glass chandeliers and a perceptively curated collection of European modern art adorning the walls. Daphne’s Conservatory, warmed by an open fire in winter and cooled by its retractable roof in summer, makes an ideal setting for a private party, birthday celebration or corporate dinner. Up to 40 guests can enjoy lunch or dinner, or 50 can gather for drinks and canapés.
