Notes from Cuoppo d’Amalfi: The cuopperia is located in the heart of the Amalfi Coast, in what was once the vestibule of a medieval church from 1200. It is not just any fry shop, but a cuopperia: only cones of fried fish and fried stuffed vegetables. Open from Easter to November, with an open kitchen, a few tables inside and out. Totani, prawns, squid, anchovies and cod once washed, cleaned and fried at the moment, are served inside the cuoppi from the innovative take away. Depending on the season or availability on the market, you can taste stuffed courgette flowers (cooked and mozzarella, ricotta and provola) or broccoli, obviously fried.
